Client Questions

“Alan” in Green Cove Springs, FL asks us:

“Should I get my 10-year-old son a smart phone? I hate even asking that question because I’ve dreaded this coming age because of the social media influences. However, if I want to talk to my son, I have to call my ex-wife’s cell phone. She either doesn’t pick up or she’s always sitting right there when I talk to my son. He’s always very guarded, and the conversations feel forced. Should I get him his own phone? BTW, I would be paying 100 percent for the phone, of course. I appreciate any advice you can give me.”

What advice would YOU give Alan? We will give you our opinion in a few days.

Culture and Christianity

A dear friend and I have been really diving into the words “integrity”, “transparency”, and “holiness”. Not a holier-than-thou attitude and not perfection. We’ve been pouring over what it really means to shine the light of Christ when we are tempted instead to get petty or boastful with the world. We’re talking about being so uncomfortably real when we feel tempted instead to hide behind the mask of artificial beauty, temporary earthly success, or titles. We also talked about breaking the stereotypes of generational curses and societal labels. Living in the light exposes us. Living in the light truly sets us free. This freedom is a beautiful and unselfish gesture by a Risen Savior.

Promise of God's Protection

A prayer for today. “I trust you this day Lord. Instead of looking ahead a mile up the road, I will focus on each step in front of me. I will focus on the light in place as I take each step and not just faith, but in trust. You will not lead our family astray. If we trust in you, you will guide our thoughts, our words, and our actions. We hand this day over to you Lord. Your Will be done.”
